What is a typical craniosacral session?

It is important for you to know that each session is designed to meet your personal needs and begins with a brief interview.  Next, you will get comfortable on the massage table in a quiet darkened room. (No oils are used; no music is played.)  Typically I start at your feet and slowly make my way up the body with very gentle touching.  I may place my hand under your sacrum, the small triangular bone at the bottom of your back.  As I work my way up the body,  I stop at places that I feel are "stuck" and give time to those areas to re-organize and release tension.  As a neutral mediator I wait silently while you reconnect with your own deep stillness and reorganization, the place of deep healing. (Not all my clients experience the work silently; sometimes we talk about sensations and feelings that arise during the session.)  I will touch your head and neck gently and travel back down to your feet where I end.  At the conclusion of the session, I allow you time to rest quietly on the table.   When you are ready, we will talk and share our thoughts and insights.

Craniosacral Therapy sessions are by appointment only.
